Twenty GSM students will be celebrating the end of exams with a trip to Brazil on the annual Social Enterprise Field Seminar. Led by, PNP Program Director, Kristen McCormack, the group plans to center its twelve-day experience around three major themes:
· Agrobusiness in the northern city of Fortaleza;
· Social and cultural issues in Salvador; and
· Multi-national/large business issues in Rio de Janeiro.
This year, seven people full-time students, nine PEMBAs, and three international management concentrators have signed up. The students have a wide range of interests including healthcare, microfinance, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, and renewable energy. They will be visiting with local NGOs, politicians, and multi-national corporations; and potentially participate in small-scale consulting projects during their visit.
Please check back for additional updates on the trip!
